Suzanne Lenglen defeated Phyllis Satterthwaite 6â1, 6â1 in the All Comers' Final, and then defeated the reigning champion Dorothea Lambert Chambers 10â8, 4â6, 9â7 in the challenge round to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 1919 Wimbledon Championships.[1][2]
